Master/slave for optimized compressors
An Emotron FDU variable speed drive works as the master and controls up to seven compressors without an external PLC. When the master compressor reaches its capacity limit, it signals to one of six Emotron MSF softstarters to start the next compressor. When the demand decreases the compressors are stopped smoothly.
Minimized energy consumption and downtime
This solution offers high reliability and minimized energy consumption. The Emotron FDU controls which compressor to start or stop, giving them all an equal running time. If a problem occurs the system automatically switches over to the next compressor, avoiding unnecessary downtime.
